Twelve students
in the New Salem FFA chapter attended the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Traveling on the Moo 1 bus along with us were Glen Ullin, Grant County and Tappen. We stopped at several
locations along the way including the John Morrell Co. , John Deere Des Moines Works, and an Old Fashion Train ride
in Boone Iowa. Mr. Feiring and Mr. Davis drove the trip and chaperoned
along with the advisors from the other towns. Students from New Salem attending
National Convention were Ariel Bibb, Alex Bibb, Desi Lennie, Heather Freadhoff, Brittany Kaelberer, Heather
Frank, Alex Bibb, Jennifer Frank, Kendra Hoger, DeLayna Bueligen, Alicia Wehri, Andrew Kreidt and Ashley Doll. We left on Sunday October 19 and got down to Indianapolis on October 23 and attended
a session with guest speaker Dana Hee, olympic gold medalist in Tae Kwan Do and listened too Becky Sullivan, the National
Secretary, give her retiring address. We also attended a Taylor Swift concert in the Lucas Oil Stadium. There
was also a career fair that the chapters attended. On the way back to North Dakota we drove through 150 miles of blizard
like conditions in Minnesota.
